鼻胃管會使用於無法自行進食的病人,例如昏迷、吞嚥困難、口腔手術後的病人,透過鼻胃管提供營養。
A nasogastric tube is used for patients who are unable to eat on their own, such as those who are comatose, have difficulty swallowing, or have undergone oral surgery. The tube provides nutrition.

鼻胃管插入長度是需要從鼻尖經耳垂到劍突與肚臍中點之間的長度。這是一個較為精確的測量方式,能確保鼻胃管到達胃部。
The length of the nasogastric tube is measured from the tip of the nose, through the earlobe, to the midpoint between the xiphoid process and the navel. This is a more accurate measurement method to ensure the tube reaches the stomach.

鼻胃管若正確插入時
When the nasogastric tube is inserted correctly:
成人的固定標記約在2.5-3格或55-60公分
For adults, the fixed mark is usually around 2.5-3 marks or 55-60 centimeters.
鼻胃管反抽,抽出100 c.c.未消化的食物,表示鼻胃管位置正確,已到達胃部。
When aspirating the tube, 100 cc of undigested food should be extracted, indicating that the tube is in the correct position in the stomach.
灌食空針打入30 c.c.空氣,胃部聽診時有空氣進入胃的咕嚕聲音,表示鼻胃管沒有漏氣,位置正確。
Injecting 30 cc of air into the feeding syringe and hearing a gurgling sound in the stomach when auscultating indicates that the tube is not leaking and is in the correct position.
且將鼻胃管末端放入水中,正常應無連續性氣泡。
The end of the nasogastric tube should not produce continuous bubbles when placed in water.

灌食液體溫度應接近體溫,避免過熱或過冷刺激胃腸道。
The temperature of the feeding fluid should be close to body temperature to avoid stimulating the gastrointestinal tract.

鼻胃管灌食時,每次灌食前都應先抽取殘餘液,確認胃內是否已排空。若有殘餘液,則應將其抽出,並扣除殘餘量後再計算灌食量,以避免過度灌食造成負擔。
Before each feeding, residual fluid should be aspirated to ensure the stomach is empty. If there is residual fluid, it should be removed and the feeding volume should be adjusted accordingly to avoid overfeeding.

灌食過程中應密切觀察患者的反應,若出現不適、嘔吐等情況,應立即停止灌食。
During feeding, the patient's response should be closely monitored. If discomfort, vomiting, or other adverse reactions occur, feeding should be stopped immediately.

且管灌結束後宜採右側半坐臥或坐姿,頭部抬高 30 度,此姿勢有助於食物在胃內停留時間縮短,減少胃食道逆流的風險。
After feeding, the patient should be positioned in a semi-Fowler's or sitting position with the head elevated 30 degrees. This position helps to shorten the time food remains in the stomach and reduces the risk of gastroesophageal reflux.


鼻胃管護理: 定期清潔鼻胃管周圍皮膚,防止皮膚破損,且應依醫師指示定期更換鼻胃管,以維持通暢。
Nasogastric tube care: The skin around the nasogastric tube should be cleaned regularly to prevent skin breakdown. The tube should be replaced regularly as directed by the physician to maintain patency.
